First manufacturer to pair SB750 southbridge with 790FX chipset for improved Phenom™ performance
Yantai, China, May 28th 2008 – FOXCONN today announced the first AMD platform Digital Life motherboard - the A79A-S, designed and optimized for AMD socket AM2+ processors with HyperTransport™ 3 technology.

| The A79A-S is the first motherboard on the market to pair the new AMD 750 southbridge with the AMD 790FX chipset. The SB750 southbridge includes more connectivity options and the exclusive AMD overclocking technology - AOD Extreme - which optimizes overclocking performance with Phenom™ processors, enabling them to run more than 200MHz faster. |
The motherboard supports Dual Channel DDR2 1066MHz memory when used with socket AM2+ Phenom™ processors, to enable the best performance memory solution for the AMD platform.
The A79A-S makes use of HyperTransport™ 3.0 and PCIe Generation 2.0 technologies to dramatically increase available bandwidth between graphics and CPU processing cores, contributing to a more balanced overall PC system performance.
With 4* PCIe2.0 x16 slots onboard, and full support for ATI CrossFireX™ technology, the A79A-S supports both 4* x8 bandwidth and 2* x16 bandwidth CrossFireX™ configurations, enabling great gaming performance capability.

Onboard 7.1 channel HD audio with the Dual Digital Audio function provides Fibre/Optical and Coaxical S/PDIF outputs for the highest quality sound output, and more flexibility for connecting audio systems. The feature enables you to isolate different sound sources on your PC and split them between either the two digital outputs or via analogue 7.1 channel audio and front panel audio outputs. |

6* SATAII connectors managed with the AMD RAIDXpert™ utility make configuration of secure, reliable and high-performance media storage quick and easy. 2* FireWire and 12* USB2.0 connectors are provided thanks to use of the AMD SB750 southbridge, which provides a wider range of connectivity options than previously available on the AMD platform.
Dual Gigabit LAN is also included onboard, allowing connection to two independent networks without bandwidth loss, or enabling users to share their internet connection with another computer.
